Spring Sports Night
Spring Sports Night at WHS
On Thursday March 5th, we will be holding our Spring Sports Night at Winthrop High School at 6:00 pm in the auditorium. It is mandatory that all parent/guardians and student athletes who will be playing a spring sport attend. Thank you for your cooperation and I look forward to seeing you all there!

Lady Vikings Basketball Defeats North Reading
Congratulations to the girls basketball team on their great win over North Reading  in the first round of the state tournament.  The team faces St Mary's March 4th at Essex Tech at 7PM.  GO VIKINGS!
Congrats Girls Hockey
Congrats to the Girl's Hockey Team!
WHS would like to congratulate the girl's hockey team for their great hockey season lead by their two senior captains, Annie Mahoney and Caroline Mckinnon. The players would also like to thank the head coaches, Anthony Martucci and Chris Palmer, for making this a memorable season.

Extra Curricular Tutoring Program
Extra Curricular Tutoring Program
Through the generosity of the Viking Pride organization Winthrop High School will be offering academic support for all students involved with extracurricular activities in a before school tutoring program. The intent of this program is to provide students with an opportunity to work with highly qualified WHS teachers in the areas of Math, Science, English and Social Studies.

 

The tutoring will take place before school in the WHS library from 7:00am-8:00am on Wednesday and Thursday mornings. All extracurricular students are welcome to come to the tutoring program on a drop-in or regular basis depending on their academic needs.

SAT Prep Class
SAT Prep Class
Mr. Parsons and Mr. Beck will be running an SAT prep class for students taking the SATs. It will run Tuesdays 3:15pm-7:15pm 2/24/15-4/28/15.
National History Day Night
National History Day Project Night
On Wednesday, March 4th between 5 and 6 pm, the Winthrop High School Social Studies Department will be displaying the 2015 National History Day Projects created by students in social studies classes, grades 9-12. Family, friends, and community are invited to view student projects and to speak with students. The fair will take place on the second floor of the High School.
